General Hospital (GH) “Naxie” fans can finally rejoice.
After leaving her brand-new husband for an extended business trip to Portland (where she got to bond with daughter, Georgie), Maxie returns to Port Charles next week–and we expect her to pile on the drama (and comedy), according to the July 31 issue of Soap Opera Digest.
While Maxie’s been away, Nathan (Ryan Paevey) has kept himself occupied with work, a new friend, and a new hobby–pretending to be advice columnist Man Landers to help Nurse Amy (Risa Dorken) pay for her brother’s medical treatment.
It’s clear Amy has developed feelings for Nathan that he doesn’t seem to return as he laments his missing wife, so what happens when Hurricane Maxie blows back into town next week is anyone’s guess.

Maxie’s absence was not something the writers wanted, but actress Kirsten Storms needed some time off from the show for what she later revealed to be depression issues.
She returned to the set after a second hiatus, in a little over a year, last month and if you look at her social media, she seems to be in great spirits.
