Laura may be out of the country, dropping off Spencer at boarding school on General Hospital (GH), but that doesn’t mean we can’t see her. It just has to be in a walk down memory lane.
This particular memory involves the first time Laura (Genie Francis) met Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), the young man her son can’t stop talking about. When Liz arrives on Laura’s doorstep, though, she isn’t seeking out Lucky (Jonathan Jackson).
Instead, she is seeking solace from the one person she knows of who would understand how she feels. Liz knows that Laura was also raped and with her, there would be no need to explain what she is feeling.
Ever since she became a mom, Laura has been such a calming influence on those who seek her counsel and love, and she is no different in this clip with an obviously upset Liz. Her warmth and compassion come through when Liz embraces the older woman.
