8- Lucky's Death: Elizabeth and Laura Are Told That Lucky Is Dead
When Jonathan Jackson decided to leave the role of Lucky Spencer, General Hospital (GH) decided to “kill” off the character in a tragic fire, giving incredibly dramatic scenes to all who loved him.
And it’s kind of hard to imagine anyone who loved the young man more than his girlfriend Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and his mother, Laura (Genie Francis).
When Luke (Anthony Geary) heard the news of his son’s “death” — and lashed out at Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) — it was rough… but that didn’t prepare us for the guttural reaction delivered by Francis. Both she and Herbst rip your heart out as they cry out for the boy they both love.
