Carly is, once again, on the warpath this week on General Hospital. And one of her goals is to free Joss from the WSB. She faces Z to help make that happen. But will she succeed? The breakdown of the video preview for July 6-10 also includes Anna’s return to Port Charles.
Key Takeaways
- Carly takes on Z as she fights to free Joss from the WSB.
- Anna returns to Port Charles but continues battling lingering trauma.
- Obrecht turns to Anna for help, despite her fragile state.
This Week on GH: July 6-10, 2026
The fallout of last week’s madness continues. Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is dead. Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has been arrested. And there’s a good chance that Cassius (Ryan Paevey) may be gone as well. Additionally, we were finally introduced to Z (John Oliver), the head of the WSB. He struck a deal with Joss (Eden McCoy) that could free Jason (Steve Burton) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) sooner rather than later. And that deal may get in the way of Carly’s mission. And that’s to free Joss.
Carly Versus Z
“My daughter has risked her life in the name of duty for the last time,” Carly (Laura Wright) yells. Joss is in the hospital after being shot. Carly wants her daughter to be safe from this spy world.
Needless to say, she gets her point across by slapping Z, which probably makes John Oliver very happy because it adds to his quintessential soap experience. But the question remains whether Z, who is impressed with Joss’s skills, will let the young agent go just because Carly’s asking.
Anna Returns Home…to a Plea for Help
“Welcome home!!!”
Meanwhile, Anna (Finola Hughes) has fooled everyone, and as a result, she’s able to return home to a joyous family celebration and a hug for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). But nobody knows that she’s still struggling. Little do they know that she’s still haunted and having Peter August hell-ucinations.
Finally, Obrecht (Kathleen Gati, GH’s performer of the month for June 2026) immediately pounces on Anna. “I’m so glad you’re back. I’m here to ask for your help,” she says while at Anna’s door. Maybe Liesl isn’t so convinced that her Cassius is gone, and so she asks Anna to help her find him. If this is the case, how will Anna respond? This may not be the best time to rely on Anna. What we’d like to know is who will be the first person to realize that Anna isn’t really back to being herself.
