Now that Maxie and Lulu’s friendship seems to be back on track on General Hospital (GH), it looks like Lulu might have a little bit of competition.
Tomorrow, the two women have the perfect lunch date for a finger-licking-good experience. Yes, Maxie and Colonel Sanders seem to have a past, and on Friday, we’ll know what that past is.
The guest appearance by Colonel Harlan Sanders is actually an appearance by actor George Hamilton, playing the iconic colonel who passed away in 1980 at the age of 90.
KFC’s Twitter account began tweeting about GH last week, much to the surprise of many fans… and we soon learned that it’s all part of a branded content deal with the soap.

With Hamiton’s Extra Crispy Colonel written into the story, KFC is getting lots of publicity, especially for its new Pickle Fried Chicken. GH gets advertising revenue, too, so it’s a win-win for everyone.
