After nearly a decade away from Port Charles, Serena Baldwin makes her return in the July 30 episode of General Hospital. Meanwhile, the Thursday spoilers also reveal that Jason and Anna reconnect while Tracy is blindsided.
Key Takeaways
- Serena Baldwin returns to Port Charles after nearly a decade away with personal baggage and a mission involving Lucy.
- Jason and Anna reconnect as they continue recovering from their recent traumatic ordeals.
- Tracy is blindsided while new doctor Tristan Roberts takes a firm stand, and Ethan gets shocked.
Serena is Back, and She’s…
The Young and the Restless alum Kelly Kruger plays Serena Baldwin this time around, taking the role over from Carly Schroeder. According to Soap Opera Digest, one reason the character suddenly pops up in Port Charles is to help her mom out. We’re assuming Lucy (Lynn Herring) needs help with the drama at Deception.
Even though she wrangled half of Brook Lynn’s shares away from her, she can’t rest on that win as much as she wants to. She’s now surrounded by Quartermaines thanks to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) divesting her shares to Michael (Rory Gibson).
Another reason that Serena’s back is that she’s licking her wounds. She apparently suffered a personal setback and needs to process it. What better way to do it than scheming with her mother and reconnecting with the world that used to be her home?
Serena has been off fighting the good fight for animals and the ecosystem. So maybe we’ll also find out the story behind her 2022 arrest on the Faroe Islands, when she battled some local dolphin hunters.
Serena isn’t The Only One Doing Some Reconnecting
Jason (Steve Burton, who is nominated for a 2026 Daytime Emmy) continues his reconnection tour. He’s already touched base with his son, Tracy (Jane Elliot), Rocco (Finn Carr), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Carly (Laura Wright), and Sonny (Maurice Benard). Next up is Anna (Finola Hughes).
The two have both been through horrifying experiences over the last few months. Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) kidnapped and psychologically messed with Anna’s mind, causing her to have a breakdown so bad that she’s now hallucinating Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Meanwhile, the WSB locked Jason up in a black site prison for a crime he copped to, but didn’t commit. And it’s clear that they messed with him, too, often physically. Jason looks affected, and he now has to heal from his time there. Needless to say, the two have a lot to talk about.

Poor Tracy. She already has to contend with Drew (Cameron Mathison) and his return to the land of the walking, talking, and avenging. She’s about to be blindsided again.
Meanwhile, GH fans were shocked when an Ethan recast showed up this week. On Thursday, Mr. Lovett (Christian Howard) is the one who gets shocked.
And finally, the new doctor in town, Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer), draws a hard line. So far, we’ve seen him start his new job at GH and battle Britt a couple of times. Are we about to find out some juicy details about this guy?
