GH spoilers reveal Curtis Ashford continuing to wonder who shot him while Anna and Sonny continue to believe the shooter was trying to kill one of them. But what if everyone is off-base here?
GH Spoilers: Why So Many Assumptions?
The way the bullet hit Curtis (Donnell Turner) by ricocheting off an object and landing in Curtis’s spine made everyone who was at the pool that fateful night believe Curtis being shot was a complete accident. Fallen WSB agent Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and famous town mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) were also there, and they are used to having hits put out on them, so both immediately believed they had something to do with what happened to Curtis.
The gun used even had a WSB connection, convincing Anna that she had to be who the shooter was after. Portia (Brook Kerr) certainly believes it and let Anna know in no uncertain terms that she blames her for Curtis being in a wheelchair. She also doesn’t want Anna coming near her home again. But what Portia and everyone else don’t know is that Curtis isn’t just an innocent nightclub owner.
Curtis Ashford Has His Secrets
Curtis is also mixed up in the mob world, just like Sonny. His connection to Selina Wu (Lydia Look) might have Curtis in a whole world of trouble even he is not aware of. He has been allowing that illegal poker game to go on at The Savoy since it opened and even takes a cut of the illegal cash Selina rakes in. His involvement with her world could make Curtis a target for one of Selina’s many underworld enemies or a target of Selina herself.

Maybe Selina wants more than Curtis is willing to give her, and she decides to get him out of the way. Since he has been incapacitated, she tried several times to buy The Savoy, but Curtis refused to sell. Perhaps her first try to get The Savoy all to herself was an attempt on his life. When that didn’t work, she resorted to more legal plans that also have not worked. The gun used may also have something to do with Pikeman, and it’s possible that Selina is involved with that weapons organization and got the gun that way.
Even Curtis seems to be in denial regarding the kind of trouble he is in because it still hasn’t occurred to him that his paralyzed state might not be an accident at all. He could have been walking around with a target on his back for months, and someone — even Selina — might want to finish the job. Think this speculation could come true?
