What could possibly get in Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) way? Is it just smooth sailing for the lovebirds from now on? Here’s what we speculate is next for this Port Charles couple.
General Hospital: Put a Ring on It
Now would be an excellent time to get engaged. It would, you know, give them something to do beyond failing to solve crimes and failing to get their family members to listen to them. While Rocco, Danny, and Scout have yet to turn into surly teens, they might as well make it legal. It’ll be fun to plan a ceremony. And then go back to doing nothing right afterward.
GH: Stumbling Block
Of course, a legal document doesn’t protect you from heartache down the road. Just ask…every single person in Port Charles. Sam and Dante can tie the knot and still face problems. He could get shot. She could get shot. They could get pulled into Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) drama with Carly (Laura Wright). Or Olivia’s (Lisa LoCicero) with Neddie (Wally Kurth). It’s unlikely the path of true love will ever run truly smoothly.

Nothing will be as challenging as Lulu waking up — and deciding she still loves Dante. Even though they were split up at the time of her accident, she was about to tell him she still loved him and had turned down another man’s proposal.
Get out of the way, Sam. Lulu and Dante have a history, they have kids, and they have chemistry. Do you have any of those things? Then, yeah, step aside. And keep walking. Besides, who’s to say Jason isn’t in some river, swimming his way back to you? All’s well that ends well!
