A mourning Jason (Steve Burton) agonizes about telling Sam that her baby died. As Steven checks her over, Jason wants to know why she hasn’t woken up yet. It’s obvious Steven is concerned about this as well, but he says they’ve done all the could for her. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) is there and lets Jason know she’s been praying for Sam and she gives him advice on how to help her.

He may wish she had stayed asleep because when she awakens, she wants to see her baby. It falls upon Jason to let her know that she and Sonny (Maurice Benard) lost their baby. It’s a horrific moment for the young woman as the reality of his words tear apart her heart.
Prayers for Kristina
But Sam’s little one isn’t the only tragedy brewing as most of Port Charles is on pins and needles wondering if Kristina will survive her medical crisis. Sonny was given the one-two punch of learning his daughter died while also finding out he’s Kristina’s biological father — as she faces a health crisis that could kill her.
