General Hospital‘s Ethan Lovett is in Port Charles for a reason. We knew it. Sonny knew it. And in the Monday, April 27 episode, spoilers reveal that all roads lead to Sidwell.

Key Takeaways

  • Ethan offers Sonny a way to deal with Sidwell, revealing his true reason for returning.
  • Elizabeth gets a crucial update about Jason as questions swirl around his fate.
  • Valentin’s confession and Sidwell’s growing suspicions raise the stakes across Port Charles.
  • Josslyn questions Dante, potentially about Nathan.

Ethan’s Reason for Being…in Port Charles

In the Thursday, April 23 episode of GH, Ethan (Nathan Dean) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) found themselves in the same place. The Metro Court Hotel restaurant was the site of their first face-to-face meeting. But they already knew who the other was. Sidwell told Ava (Maura West) that he had done his research on Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) family. And he made a thinly veiled threat, letting Ethan know he knew where his family lived.

The preview at the end of Friday’s episode spelled out exactly why Ethan returned to PC. “For the right price, you would eliminate Sidwell?” Sonny asks Ethan. Luke’s son isn’t one to sit back and let someone who hurt his family live a peaceful existence. Instead, he’ll make Sonny an offer to mess with Sidwell’s world. Does he really want to eliminate Sidwell permanently, or find another way to rid him from this town?

Elizabeth Gets an Important Update

This week, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was actually able to communicate with Drew (Cameron Mathison). And she claimed that there were other ways he could communicate, a suggestion Nina (Cynthia Watros) didn’t appreciate.

Next week’s teasers reveal that Elizabeth gets an update about Jason (Steve Burton). While the WSB allegedly has locked him up in a prison in Jakarta, maybe he was able to somehow get a message to someone. Someone like Jake (Hudson West), his son with Elizabeth. Let’s hope this message isn’t bad news.

Valentin Makes a Confession

While Elizabeth learns information about Jason, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) makes a confession, potentially to Carly (Laura Wright). He has now realized that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) was the one who messed with Anna (Finola Hughes), and it’s tearing him up.

In Friday’s preview for next week’s action, it sounds like he tells Carly about his conversation with Joss (Eden McCoy). So this confession could be about his realization about Cullum being behind Anna’s breakdown. Or it could be about how Carly’s daughter is heading straight into danger. Valentin, a member of what Soap Hub‘s calling the Port Charles Initiative, tried to tell the WSB agent that she needed to stop her investigation.

After all, she’s not answering to anyone. Not even Jack (Chris McKenna). She’s doing all of this on her own. But Joss is determined, and she’s not listening to anyone, let alone Valentin.

Joss Has Questions for Dante

One of Joss’s next stops in her relentless pursuit of the truth is Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Josslyn having questions for Dante could serve two purposes.

He is privy to the facts of the Jason/Cullum/Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) case on the docks. But before Nathan (Ryan Paevey) died, Dante was his best friend. Joss is becoming increasingly suspicious of Nathan and whether he may not be who he says he is. So she could try to get his thoughts about Nathan since his so-called return from the dead.

Sidwell’s Suspicions Increase

Sidwell prides himself on being the smartest person in every room he inhabits. He also feels he has enough leverage on the citizens of Port Charles that he doesn’t have to worry (too) much about his well-being. But he has to know that at some point, the good citizens of PC will fight back.

On Monday, Sidwell is suspicious. The question is, who’s triggering his spidey senses? It could be anyone in town, from Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Lucas (Van Hansis) to Ethan and Sonny.
