Ethan is back in Port Charles, and he is slowly and surely making his way around town. Up next on his reconnection tour: Tracy Quartermaine, according to the weekly spoilers. Here’s what else is coming up on General Hospital on Thursday, April 23.

Key Takeaways

  • Ethan reconnects with Tracy, bonding over Luke as questions swirl about his true agenda.
  • Ric turns to Alexis for insight as tensions quietly build behind the scenes.
  • Drew may finally reach someone while Willow’s behavior grows more reckless.
  • Gio and Emma do some exploring.

Ethan and Tracy Reunite

Ethan Lovett (Nathan) just set foot back in Port Charles. And already he has secured a place to stay, at least for a few days. And he has gotten a job with Sonny (Maurice Benard). He, in essence, is filling the spot Jason (Steve Burton) was forced to vacate when the WSB hauled him off to a supermax prison.

Sonny knows Ethan has an agenda. And he and Ric (Rick Hearst) will keep Luke’s son close until they figure out whether or not this agenda clashes with theirs. If their plans both involve bringing down Sidwell (Carlo Rota), then all is good. And Ric won’t need to worry about Ethan’s presence being a problem for his brother.

His return to PC has also triggered his memories of his father. And when Ethan and Tracy (Jane Elliot) reunite on Thursday, the two will undoubtedly be able to bond over their shared love of Luke (the late Anthony Geary). And they can also talk about the time Tracy helped save him from Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) a few years ago.

Ric Turns to Alexis

Speaking of Ric, he and Sonny are getting along as brothers. Sonny is showing how much faith he suddenly has in him. And Ric is acting like Sonny’s bulldog in certain situations. For example, he advised Sonny not to hire Ethan.

On Thursday, Ric seeks out Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for her opinion. The attorney knows that Alexis doesn’t like to be in the same room with him for long, so it must be important. Does he want an opinion from Alexis about a professional concern, or a personal one?

Will Elizabeth Understand Drew’s Incessant Blinking

Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) has trapped Drew (Cameron Mathison) in a locked-in state using a concoction that Sidwell is so generously providing to her. He and his crew have a drug for everything, don’t they?

For months, Drew’s blinking is the only way he can communicate with people. While everybody understands it when he blinks once for yes, and twice for no. Nobody understands it when he blinks several times in a row.

In GH’s weekly video preview, however, there may be some hope for the former congressman. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is, for some reason, visiting with him. Maybe she is there to lend support to Willow and then clocks some face time with Drew. She wants to know if his blinking means he’s asking for help. Does Drew get through to Elizabeth?

Willow’s Out-of-Control Antics Increase

Meanwhile, the weekly teasers suggest that Willow uses her influence. This week, she’s focusing her anger on Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jacinda (Paige Herschell). So maybe she uses her influence as a congresswoman in a way that ultimately harms her ex-husband. It could have something to do with the custody situation.

Whatever she does, Willow is out of control. Nina (Cynthia Watros) can’t stop her. We’re not even sure Nina wants to stop her. Hiring Ric, as she just did, only serves to deal with the fallout of Willow’s actions. Not to prevent them.

Gio and Emma in the Big Apple

If Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) are exploring, then they must already be in New York City, where there’s a lot to see, eat, and do. More importantly, traveling together could bring them even closer together. It worked for Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) once upon a time. It could do the same for Gio and Emma as this trip leads up to their Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway adventure on Friday.
