A former General Hospital and soon to be Days of Our Lives star popped the question to his girlfriend and she said YES! That’s right Robb Derringer (GH ex-Kyle Sloane DAYS Scooter Nelson) and Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba are now planning to say their “I dos” after a whirlwind romance.
According to People, the pair shared an incredibly romantic, perfect date on the beach over the weekend — Saturday — that culminated in their engagement.
Inaba explained why Saturdays are so significant to her and her new fiance. “Saturdays are special to us, because our first date was on a Saturday and we have celebrated with a toast, a visit to a beach, special date, a motorcycle adventure, or a road trip on every Saturday since, she said.”
Amazingly, Derringer asked for her hand in the exact same place their first spontaneous date occurred on the beach.
She said on the special occasion the couple was “alone on the beach with a bonfire, a bottle of Aubert Chardonnay and the majestic Pacific ocean that has always been an integral force in both our lives.”
As for Derringer, he shared his deepest feelings with her through a beautifully written letter. After the letter, he said he, “got down on one knee under what I will always remember as the most serene and tranquil night sky I’ve ever seen and asked my beautiful girl if she would do me the honor of being my wife, to which she thankfully replied yes.”
What an absolutely magical and memorable proposal story! It’s the stuff that dreams and romance stories are made of.

So far, the pair of 48-year-old stars haven’t set a date. However, they intend to walk down the aisle on a Saturday, which is certainly not a surprise given the significance of that day of the week for them.
How wonderful is it, that this lovely couple that is so in love, will soon make it official in front of friends and family? We wish them the best with a lifetime of love and happiness.
