It looks like the writing is on the wall for Nathan on General Hospital (GH). It’s no secret that Ryan Paevey is leaving the soap by his own accord, and now published reports show a core character will be killed next week.
While it’s always possible that Paevey is written off in another manner (kidnapped by Faison and disappears, perhaps?), seeing how happy Nathan was today as he and Maxie saw their baby on a sonogram seemed like a foreshadowing that everything is about to go very, very wrong.
It looks like a lot is going to happen over the next week, so be ready as we finally learn for sure who Faison’s other son is (cough…Peter…cough–if we’re right), and Sonny, Jason, and Anna are ready to set their trap.
Of course, Lulu and Obrecht are still fighting for their own lives as a poison gas threatens to engulf them. It’s up to the boys in blue to save the day. Dante realizes his wife is missing. Nathan knows his mother vanished. So, they need to protect their loved ones and it makes sense if someone pays the price while doing the right thing.

Published reports say that this murder could have ripple effects through Port Charles for years to come, so killing a character whose baby is also the baby of a legacy character would certainly accomplish that.
We guess we just have to wait and see what happens, but something tells us Maxie wasn’t panicking for nothing all these weeks.
