Anna (Finola Hughes) and Robert (the late Tristan Rogers) were a legacy couple from a golden time in GH history. They met as WSB Agents, were married twice, and went on countless adventures. The former couple share a daughter, Robin (Kimberly McCullough), and grandchildren, Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Noah.
They have a long and complicated history, but in the end, they were the best of friends. The exes worked well together as PCPD Police Commissioner and District Attorney, and were always there for each other. They had a very special relationship.
GH has yet to announce when a tribute to Robert will happen on-screen. Like Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson), it may take a while, but it will be worth the wait. The setup may be happening now, right before our eyes. If it goes down the way it looks, it will be a real tearjerker.
Forever The Hero
Anna is in big trouble, and no one seems to know how to help her. Emma is a mess; Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Mac (John J. York) are like deer in headlights; and Laura (Genie Francis) turned to Willow (who can suddenly speak French and has influence with French authorities).
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was about to run to her rescue, but now has to deal with Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Someone needs to save Anna, and that someone may be Robert. In this scenario, Robert would go to France to try to break Anna out of the hospital for the criminally insane. While successfully rescuing her, Robert could somehow be shot and killed in the process (offscreen, of course).
Anna would then return to Port Charles and break the news that her partner in crime is gone. Robert will have died a hero, which is fitting for the legendary character.
