Who is that woman in subdued dresses each day sitting behind a desk pouring over numbers about an industry she knows nothing about right now on General Hospital (GH)? Why it’s Samantha McCall Morgan–or so we think.
Okay, at least her corporate dresses are either black or grey or we’d think Sam (Kelly Monaco) left town altogether. But we’re used to a woman in skinny jeans, heels, and black tees. Where is she and what has Drew (Billy Miller) done with her?
We also remember a woman who not too long ago (like two-three months ago) thought she was married to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), the man she wed in 2011 and had been in love with for years. She was with this man BECAUSE she thought he was the one she’d been with forever and had a son with.
She was with this man because he was Jason, but of course, he’s not. Remember before everyone thought Jake Doe was Jason and just thought he was a man without a name? Sam was with Patrick (Jason Thompson) and was ready to marry him. She was even allowed to keep her private investigating business and leather jacket.
Sure, it was never going to work out with Patrick because deep down he loved and belonged with Robin, but it was Sam not being able to stay away from the newfound Jason (who’s not Jason) that ended things between them. Robin returned after all that.
Sam was willing to be with this man with no memories because in her mind, he was her Jason. Then, he had Jason’s memories and it didn’t matter to her if he was different–she believed he was Jason and that was all that mattered.

So, when the real Jason showed up, Sam should have needed some time to at least think, right? Maybe sort things out rather than being cold as ice to Jason and insisting no matter what she loved the other guy who we now know as Drew.
She claims she’s moved on now during the years the real Jason had been away, but she hadn’t because in her mind she was with Jason–no questions asked. If you loved Jason, were heartbroken when you thought he was dead, and jumped at the chance to be with him when he turned up alive, then it’s Jason you want.
If you know this guy wasn’t Jason and that explains why he seemed so different and the real Jason is RIGHT THERE telling you he loves you, then it makes no sense to keep claiming it’s all different now because it’s not.
Sam was with Drew because she believed he was Jason. He’s not. Actual Jason is there. So, none of her moves since November wash with Soap Hub. Bottom line–give Sam back her jeans and jacket (and her Jason) so she can be Sam again.
