It feels like we just wrote this story two years ago, and we basically did. Sam asks Jason for a divorce on General Hospital (GH), but at least this time she has the right Jason.
Remember when Sam wanted to start over again with the man she thought was Jason, while he had no memories of being Jason? Well, 2016 Jason wasn’t happy at all, but at least he got some memories, they married on Sonny’s terrace, and little Scout was born.
Well, turns out that wasn’t Jason signing those divorce papers, so she has to do the whole thing all over again if she wants to marry Drew.
And, she seems to want to marry Drew fast. According to published reports, Sam tells Drew she wants to wed right away, but they run into a snag when they apply for a marriage license. That snag is her legal marriage to Jason.
So, she asks Jason for a divorce, and ever the chivalrous one, he agrees. Then, Alexis agrees to help her with the legalities, but Alexis wants to make sure Sam really wants this.

Of course, Sam insists this is exactly what she wants, but her rush to marry and her refusal to tell Drew about that New Year’s Eve kiss might have the audience wondering.
We know we’re not sure this is what Sam wants and truly feel there are few characters on soaps who need a vacation more.
