It used to be that come to the warm weather, Luke Spencer would disappear from General Hospital as Anthony Geary took off on his annual vacation. Now it’s Anna’s turn, as Finola Hughes takes advantage of a similar out-clause. Do fans miss her when she’s gone? Here’s what over 12,000 had to say:

Absolutely, 60% of you are already clamoring for Anna’s speedy return. Port Charles needs her! With Anna, that’s one less good guy down, in the battle of mobsters — sorry, anti-heroes — versus law-abiding citizens.
You are enjoying her romance with Finn (Michael Easton), and don’t want to see it derailed by a prolonged absence…especially with Hayden (Rebecca Budig), and possibly Finn’s baby in tow, on her way back.
Also without Anna, there is absolutely no reason for Peter (Wes Ramsey) to exist…in general, and specifically in Port Charles.
Who will he whine to about being unloved and neglected? Who will he guilt into forgiving him over and over? And how will we ever find out that Anna isn’t actually his mother, after all?

I Ain’t Missing You At All
On the other hand, 40% are hoping for a nice, long vacation for Anna. Not only did her presence bring us the gift that is Peter, but, seriously? Finn? When Robert (Tristan Rogers) is around? Who would choose the dour doctor over the awesome Aussie?
Finn has achieved the amazing feat of making Anna boring, while Peter has made her whiny. You’d rather keep your memories of kick-ass spy Anna, loving mom Anna, even amnesiac All My Children Anna (even if you are still bitter that her reunion with Robin took place on that show). And, the longer she stays out of town, the easier that will be.
