The General Hospital recap features Portia being forced to tell Trina Robinson the truth about her possible lineage.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
In this episode, Trina confronted Portia about her cryptic conversation with Stella while Curtis and Taggert wondered what the heck was going on. Over in England, Sam and Dante manage to get Nanny Maggie to tell them who Esme’s father is. Back in the state, Esme’s father and mother broke out of Spring Ridge as Esme cried and screamed. They soon made their way to Spoon Island where Ryan shocked Ava and Felicia. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into this episode.
General Hospital Recap: Trina Robinson Is Stunned
Portia (Brook Kerr) was confused by Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) cold and angry face after the bouquet landed by her feet. Trina insisted they needed to talk privately. Mother and daughter made it to a Metro Court hotel room, where Trina told Portia that she went to see Stella (Vernee Watson) and learned she wasn’t sick at all. Instead, she told Trina she couldn’t attend the wedding in good conscience, knowing that Portia was keeping a secret from both Trina and Curtis (Donnell Turner).

When Trina asked Portia to tell her what that secret was, she could tell by the look on her mother’s face that it was bad. Portia sat Trina down and told her all about having an affair with Curtis when Taggert (Réal Andrews) was too busy with work and making her feel unloved, but when Curtis learned she was married, he ended things. Taggert eventually figured out his wife was unhappy and got his act together, and that’s when Portia learned she was pregnant.
A stunned Trina asked if Curtis was her dad, and Portia had to admit that she didn’t want to know and felt it was best if they never knew. Trina was understandably curious, but Portia knew she had even more trouble when she opened the hotel room door to find Curtis and Taggert standing there.
GH Recap: Sam And Dante Learn Get What They Came For
When Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) asked his new barmaid friend to have a chat with him, she tried to secretly reach for a cricket bat to conk him over the head, but Dante stopped her, and then Sam (Kelly Monaco) showed up. Sam already knew this was Maggie The Nanny and they explained to her that they were a cop and PI from the States who were just trying to help Esme. Maggie didn’t even believe that Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) could be pregnant and in jail at first, but Sam and Dante assured her that she was.

Maggie admitted she lived in fear that Esme’s father would one day find her, and she thought he sent Sam and Dante. As they pressed her for a name, she looked more frightened and finally admitted that Esme’s dad was the devil incarnate and that his name was Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).
General Hospital Recap: Ryan Finds Ava And Felicia
At Spring Ridge, a terrified Esme tried to scream, but Heather (Alley Mills) put her hand over the girl’s mouth to keep her quiet while Ryan changed into the guard’s clothing. He then told Esme that he wished he could remember who she was because she was not a crying little girl — she was a tenacious genius who happened to be his daughter. This horrified Esme even more as Heather and Ryan dragged her outside.
Mac (John J. York) had to leave Felicia (Kristina Wagner) at the Metro Court when he learned that there was chaos at Spring Ridge and found Esme and Heather on the side of the road. Heather tried to pretend they needed help when Ryan knocked him over the head, and Heather had to stop him from killing him. They finally stole Mac’s car and drove off, hoping to make a pitstop along the way.
Over at Wyndemere, Ava (Maura West) did her best to convince Austin (Roger Howarth) to help her move Nikolas’s (Adam Huss) body, and Austin did his best to delay her. His wish came true when Felicia showed up, so Austin made himself scarce as Felicia tried to convince Ava to help her get more information out of Ryan about The Hook murders. Ava agreed, and when she went to show Felicia the door, Ryan was standing there, stunning them both.
