Port Charles was filled with emotions on the day of Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) funeral. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) received support from Cody (Josh Kelly) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), while Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) helped Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) prepare for the funeral. Ric (Rick Hearst) arrived to support Molly and Alexis lashed out at her ex. TJ (Tajh Bellow) also arrived and made things right with Molly.
At the Quartermaine Mansion, Rocco (Finn Francis Carr) overheard Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) talking about his fight with Jason. Later, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) went to the church and tore into a guilty Lucas (Van Hansis) for killing his mother.
At Bobbie’s, Brennan (Charles Mesure) introduced himself to Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) and offered him a job with the WSB in Africa, while Aiden (Colin Cassidy) visited Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) at GH and she prepared him for his father’s probable leave.

Everyone spoke at Sam’s funeral, starting with Molly and Kristina. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was up next with a tearful goodbye to his Fair Samantha, flashing back to a moment in the early 2000s when Sam gave him tips on how to win over his now-girlfriend, Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Carly and Elizabeth also spoke of their longtime frenemy, flashing back to memorable mean moments they shared. Dante, Jason, and each of their sons took to the podium to speak about what Sam meant to them, then Alexis remembered her daughter with a montage of flashbacks.
Lucas chose not to go to the church after Danny lashed out at him and instead ran into Ava (Maura Ava), while Lulu lay at her new facility and suddenly woke up from her coma.

Danny confided in Jason about lashing out at Lucas and Jason admitted to Danny that he got into a fight with Drew, while Lucky and Elizabeth assured Lucas he wasn’t to blame for Sam’s death.
Portia’s (Brook Kerr) first call after getting Sam’s autopsy results was Lucas to assure him she didn’t die from anything he did. Then she called Elizabeth to her office and informed her that Sam overdosed on a medication someone on the nursing staff gave her that she hadn’t been prescribed.
Meanwhile, Kristina and Dante had a heart-to-heart over their grief, while Alexis found Sam’s will and learned that her daughter named Drew the legal guardian of both kids.
In the facility, Lulu woke up and heard Cyrus (Jeff Kober) coming into her room. She pretended to still be in the coma while he read to her, then when he left, she tried escaping but fell on the floor. She got back up and sat on the bed, looking ready to escape again.

Alexis called Jason and Drew to her office and noticed their bruises from their fight. When she handed them each copies of Sam’s will, Jason fought for Danny’s right to choose who he wants to live with, while Alexis privately suggested to Drew that the kids live with her.
Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) was late to meet up with Trina (Tabyana Ali), but when he finally showed up, he proved her wrong by being overly prepared for their project.
Michael confided in Sasha (Sofia Mattson) about Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew’s affair, while TJ confided in Jordan (Tanisha Harper) about his relationship with Molly.

At the courthouse for Ava’s trial, Molly broke the news to Kristina that her dad called her as a witness. Kristina tried convincing her sister not to tell the full truth on the stand, and Molly assured Ric (Rick Hearst) that she wasn’t pleased over being called.
At the Quartermaine Mansion, Jason arrived to see Dante serving breakfast to Danny, Rocco, and Scout (Cosette Abinante). While the kids played, Jason discussed his options for Danny with Dante until they heard a crash from the other room. They saw the kids coming together to help clean up a mess Scout made, prompting Jason not to separate them. That was when he and Dante made the decision to both move into the mansion with their kids.
While Michael tried getting Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) help taking Aurora from Drew, promising him the position of CEO, Sasha met Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) at Bobbie’s and received a letter from Robert (Tristan Rogers), before secretly pulling a pregnancy test out of her purse.
