The GH recap for Friday, December 9, 2022, features Trina and Spencer reuniting once again, but Rory just always seems to be there.
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) once again thought she was making a smart and safe decision, while Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) disagreed. Also, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) may have had a realization about herself, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) got through to Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gave Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) a weird warning, and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) demanded answers he may not like. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
It wasn’t hard for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) to hear Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) loudly proclaiming his love for Trina, but Trina’s eyes were all on Spencer as she couldn’t believe he was even there. He explained that he used his Cassadine connections to get out of jail early and then sat down with Trina as soon as Rory got a call from Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and left the table.
Spencer asked Trina if they could start over, and Trina couldn’t say yes. Instead, she had to go on and on about how it’s not possible for them anymore, and Spencer sadly had to say he guessed what happened between them in the past had consequences. Trina then tried to backtrack and tell him he misunderstood what was going on with Rory, but by then, Spencer was putting on the tough guy act, and fans are no closer to Sprina being together than they were when Spencer was in jail. These are two very stubborn kids.

Later, a dejected Spencer tried to throw out the two turtle doves, but it seems Uncle Victor is even on Spencer’s side and rescued the gift for safekeeping.
General Hospital Recap: Finn Had Questions, Heather Had Answers
Finn told Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) that he was sure that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) had to be on Spoon Island and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) had to be hiding something. Why else would Esme have been on the pier with the launch the night Liz tried to go there? Liz was stunned to hear that Finn even made his way to Wyndemere to look for the girl, but was relieved that Nikolas managed to cover well.
Liz tried to talk Finn out of going back to Spoon Island, so he tried to drag her to see Jordan instead so they could tell the commissioner his suspicions. When he went back into his office to get what Liz left there, he noticed the bottle she was carrying was prenatal vitamins — the same ones he saw at Wyndemere. Finn then asked Elizabeth if she was pregnant.

Over at Spring Ridge, Heather and Ryan caught up, and we learned that they met one night in the woods when Heather saw this handsome man chopping down wood with an ax. They called themselves Hazel and Richard and had a glorious time in this cabin many years ago. Heather even told Ryan that she knew he was faking the locked-in syndrome, so he came clean and just started talking, telling her she left him with no word and broke his heart.
Heather then slapped him across the face for setting up her boy Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) to take the fall for his last round of serial killing but mentioned how they made a good team, and she owes him one. Ryan said she owes him two because he later learned that Hazel was pregnant when she left Richie all those years ago.
GH Recap: Sonny and Joss Have Drama
Josslyn Jacks was horrified when she went to pick up Donna from Sonny’s place and found Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) there. She ranted about how Nina is not allowed anywhere near Donna, but Nina told her that all changed. She even tried to get along with Joss, but Joss didn’t want to hear it.
Instead, when Nina said she didn’t take Sonny off Carly Spencer’s hands, she fell in love with Sonny cause these things happen, Joss flashed to kissing Dex. She then announced to Nina that no, she is nothing like this evil woman in front of her. That remark left Nina confused.
In his office, Sonny gave Dex a whole speech about how he started off in the mob business and how you have to know when to keep the safety on a gun and take it off. He then handed Dex a new gun and demanded Dex drive him to a meeting. It turned out this meeting was with Nina at his place for dinner, but when Dex saw Joss there, he tried to get out of staying.
