General Hospital recap for Monday, March 8, 2021, features a tortuous kidnapping, confessions abound, and families torn apart.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Despite all of the major reveals and truths about Peter (Wes Ramsey) coming to light so bright that not a mere shadow of doubt could be left about his guilt, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) still remained loyal to saving him. All of Anna’s (Finola Hughes) efforts to convince her that he was indeed a damaged man who could never ultimately change for the good, fell on deaf ears, again.

Maxie didn’t want to buy any of it, and along with Mac (John J, York), remained furious at Anna for not coming forward earlier with what she knew about Peter. Mac reamed Anna about why she chose to protect Peter over Maxie.

Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) let Maxie know that the baby was okay and did her part as well to cement Peter’s guilt. Britt reminded her of how Peter stole Franco’s (Roger Howarth) medical records and other crimes, but again, Maxie stood firm.

The ironic hero in all of this, Mac said, and who he never thought he’d thank for anything, is Liesl (Kathleen Gati). She was the only one who had the guts to stop the wedding and tell everyone the ultimate truth about Peter.

Truth And Torture

Franco took his wrath out on Peter (Wes Ramsey) for what he did to both he and Drew (Billy Miller) by mentally torturing him with threats and bodily harm. Franco was successful and got his whole confession on tape, and Peter was about to pay the piper…until he broke free of his handcuffs and jumped Franco.

The two enemies wrestled for control until Peter overtook Franco and pulled a gun on him. Peter looked dead set on shooting him right there and then until Franco reminded him of his love for Maxie. How could he shoot him in cold blood and show Maxie that he was indeed a changed man?

Franco’s distraction momentarily worked, as Peter again professed his love for Maxie and their children. Then Peter retreated back to his dark self and started to pull the trigger…until Franco threw something at him. The two wrestled again over the gun, but this time we heard the gun go off.

Confessions And Heartache

After Gregory (Gregory Harrison) overheard Finn (Michael Easton) and Jackie (Kim Delaney) talking about their one-night affair, the former lovers decided to tell him everything that happened. The scene got very emotional, as each lie was revealed, culminating in why Finn spent the last several decades away from the family.

The whole truth, including the possibility that Chase (Josh Strickland) could be Finn’s son, was revealed. Gregory demanded to hear the results of the DNA test, but Finn said Jackie argued that no one should find out because it would ruin Chase’s life. Gregory called BS on that and said that he wouldn’t be a part of keeping the truth from Chase. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
