In the September 18 episode of General Hospital, Danny realized that Charlotte had used herself as bait to blackmail Drew. It wasn’t a very thought-out plan that had Charlotte putting herself in serious danger, something Danny didn’t want. Charlotte isn’t thinking and taking a risk that could cost her big time.

Key Takeaways

  • Charlotte tried to set up Drew.
  • Danny raced to stop her from making a mistake.
  • What is Charlotte’s real motive?

Charlotte’s Playing a Dangerous Game

Despite Danny’s (Asher Antonyzyn) objection, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) used herself as bait so they could get evidence to blackmail Drew (Cameron Mathhison) into letting Danny see Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski). Charlotte planned to make it look as if Drew were in a compromising position with her in his car.

She set up her phone camera outside the car, then climbed into Drew’s SVU in the Metro Court parking lot. Charlotte sat on the front seat floor with her hoodie unzipped, so only her tank top straps were showing.

While Charlotte waited, she flashed back to Danny freaking out over her plan as he expressed his fear that she would end up in danger. Suddenly, the door flung open, and Charlotte gasped.

Danny Realizes Charlotte Went Rogue

At the Quartermaine stables, Danny waited for Charlotte until he realized something wasn’t right. Danny was instantly worried that Charlotte had gone through with her plan to trap Drew.

Danny tried to reach Charlotte to no avail. When that didn’t work, Danny called Aurora to look for Drew and found out he was in a meeting.

Once he realized Charlotte had gone rogue, Danny rushed out to find her before it was too late.

Why Is Charlotte Willing to Risk Her Own Safety to Take Down Drew?

The teens are playing a game they will never win. It would be one thing if they had actually found evidence to blackmail Drew, but creating some will never work.

However, the bigger issue is why Charlotte would go so far as to fabricate evidence against Drew. Charlotte’s a risk-taker, but this risk isn’t even beneficial to her.

Sure, she wants to help Danny spend time with Scout, but something else is driving her determination. Charlotte’s teen angst has been at an all-time high as she and Danny find a way to make Drew let Danny and Scout hang out when they want.

Lulu (Alexa Havins) mentioned that Charlotte was a bad influence on Danny and that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was ignoring his daughter’s bad behavior. Is Charlotte simply being a teen, or has her Cassadine side taken over in a way Valentin refuses to ignore?

Whatever it is, Charlotte’s taking a huge risk that could land her in major trouble and have a ripple effect. If Drew does something to Charlotte, Valentin will lose it, and another Port Charles war will begin.
