In the October 28 episode of General Hospital, Ava called in the favor that Alexis owed her. Alexis got more than she bargained for when she agreed to represent Ava before she had all the facts. Ava made it worth Alexis’ while when she threw Drew under that bus, but neither of them is thinking clearly about what that really means.

Key Takeaways

  • Ava once acted before thinking.
  • Alexis agreed to find a way to help her.
  • Drew won’t take the betrayal lying down.

Ava Didn’t Hold Back

Joe (Jonathan Bennett) and Agent Baines (Alimi Ballard) line of questioning pushed Ava (Maura West) into a corner, or so she thought. When Drew (Cameron Mathison) wasn’t overly helpful to Ava, she turned to the one person who could get her out of this mess: Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Ava wasted no time calling in the favor Alexis owed her from when she helped the lawyer get intel on Delilah (Lily Cardone) in New York City. Alexis was reluctant but eventually gave in to Ava and listened to what she had to say.

In a very surprising twist, Ava revealed her alliance with Drew and what they did to Jack (Chris McKenna). Ava incriminated herself and Drew as she demanded that Alexis get her immunity.

Alexis Needs More Information

Despite being intrigued at Drew finally getting what was coming to him and getting access to Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski), Alexis needed more answers. Ava admitted she formed an alliance with Drew because of Sonny (Maurice Benard) and his threats to take Avery away.

While Ava was forthcoming about drugging Jack, she left out how she and Drew found his body and buried it. Since Alexis believed Jack was just missing, she decided to find precedent for leniency, but Ava had to agree to testify against Drew.

Ava insisted she would take the stand against Drew. However, she wouldn’t even consider it unless she were granted full immunity, which was a tall order for Alexis, given that the PCPD and WSB are involved.

The Major Missing Part

So many things about Ava’s last plan are not well thought out. Alexis is a great lawyer, but she doesn’t have all the pieces, making her job even harder.

Even if Ava gets immunity, solving her Jack problem has created a new problem for her. Drew won’t take the betrayal lying down, and he has the goods on Ava to destroy her.

Remember, they framed Sonny for the attacks on Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Sidwell (Carlo Rotta). Drew, of all people, has a way of making others take the fall for his crimes, and he will do it again to get back at Ava.

Then there’s Alexis. Drew already wants Scout away from her. If she isn’t careful, Drew will use this against Alexis to push Scout further away from her grandmother.

Neither Ava nor Alexis has thought about the Drew factor of it all, and they should have. They both know all too well that Drew never pays for his evilness.
