Fans watch soaps for the daytime drama, and General Hospital is no exception. Other people’s suffering is our entertainment, gosh darn it. On the other hand, there is such a thing as too much.
Some GH characters have really been through the wringer lately and maybe deserve a break. We asked over 3,000 viewers who in PC needs a nice, relaxing stay on the back-burner:
Just Jasam
Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) have been suffering ever since he returned from the dead and Sam realized she was married to her beloved’s identical twin.
That got straightened out…just in time for Sam to leap into saving little sis Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) from a cult, which ended with Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) drugging and branding Sam. This week she found herself kidnapped and gagged… again. Somebody needs a spa day, according to 38% of you.
How many times have Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) been married, divorced, and remarried? How many babies and children have they lost? Now their latest is in a health crisis. This is why 23% of the audience would like them to catch a break.

On the Friz
Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) got married in a jail cell. Now they’re about to get tangled up in the Drew (Billy Miller) flash drive mess. Or, you know, they could…not be, 20% suggests.
Chillow
Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow (Katelynn McCullough) have suffered. But not nearly as much as the folks name-checked above. Maybe that’s why only 11% of you are eager to see them relax.
Fanna
And, finally, there’s the 5% who voted for Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna (Finola Hughes). You actually want to see them suffer. Because maybe then, they’ll figure out the whole relationship is a bad idea and move on from whatever this is.
