Celebrating Lydia Look
Look is a powerhouse both on and off-screen. The multi-talented actress can do it all. She is fluent in five languages, writes, produces, does her own stunt work, and is a voiceover artist as well. She has been interested in the arts since the tender age of 6 when the famed Speech and Drama Irish nuns, Sister Dolores and Sister Josephine Healy, plucked her from obscurity based on her report card that listed her as “gifted, dynamic, and talented.” The nuns coached her in classic Shakespeare, helping her to earn a degree in Speech & Drama from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
She went on to further her education at the USC School of Film & Television and the USC School of Theater. The dynamo actress earned early acclaim in the Berkeley Repertory Theater and The Huntington Theater. Before her graduation, she had already optioned out her first feature film script and was commissioned to write a freelance episode of The Sentinel. It wasn’t long before she peppered her resume with television and film credits.

The inimitable RBG. Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
2.) What qualities do you admire about your character?
Her intelligence and chutzpah.
3.) What role models are out there today for young women to admire?
Too many to list! I chose Malala, Jane Goodall, and Judi Dench.
4.) If you could work with any actor (from any genre) on your show, who would it be?
It was in August of 2015 when she made her first appearance on the daytime drama General Hospital as part of the Wu crime family. As the shady mob boss, Selina Wu, Look has won over fans with her commanding presence and her onscreen chemistry opposite such actors as Maurice Benard (Sonny), Jeff Kober (Cyrus), and Laura Wright (Carly).
