General Hospital’s Jason has once again claimed to be the father of someone’s baby. He swore to keep the secret but will he tell Carly the truth?
Secret Keeper
Cody (Josh Kelly) was spreading the rumor that Jason (Steve Burton) is the father of Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) baby all over Port Charles. They decided to go with it because everyone already thought it was true. Jason has gone around this block a few times before, so why not do it again?
The weird thing is that he pretended to be Michael’s (ex-Chad Duell) dad, and now he is doing the same for Michael’s baby. History is repeating itself in Port Charles. The truth came out in that instance because he confided in his then-girlfriend Robin (Kimberly McCullough), who eventually let the cat out of the bag.
Jason and Sasha decided to let Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) in on the truth but never thought to tell Stone Cold’s other son, Jake (Hudson West). He is away at art school, but they could have called him so he wouldn’t hear the news elsewhere. They both swore not to tell anyone else who the real baby daddy is.
Mother’s Instinct
Enter Carly (Laura Wright). She has been Jason’s best friend since he claimed Michael as his son. Carly knows him well and will feel that something isn’t right when she speaks to him. She is also relentless and will not stop until he tells her what is really going on. Jason may break his pact with Sasha and include his bestie in the circle of trust.
On the negative side, the more people who know the truth, the more likely someone is to slip-up. Michael’s mom has a short fuse and it wouldn’t be a surprise if she blurted it out in a moment of anger.
A positive of including Carly in the secret is that she can help them. She will be the baby’s grandmother, just like she protects the rest of her family. Her son could lose custody of his other children if Willow discovers the baby is Michael’s. Carly will do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn’t happen.
