Jason’s been the center of some hot gossip in Port Charles, and his portrayer Steve Burton has revealed a behind the scenes secret from filming his latest General Hospital scenes.
Not To Look Stupid…
On the latest episode of Daily Drama, hosted by co-stars Burton and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Anderson mentioned the latest scenes between Jason and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) when he felt the baby move and Cody (Josh Kelly) saw the whole thing. “Cody sees me, I guess, feeling Sasha’s baby and then Cody, you know, sees that and assumes something.”
While half of Port Charles currently believes Jason is the father of Sasha’s baby thanks to Cody’s blabbering mouth, but Anderson is left asking the important questions. “There’s always someone lurking. Do we not look around when we’re talking about certain things?”

Burton had a very knowledgeable answer for his co-star. “Our directors would try not to make us – when we’re talking and somebody has to overhear – make us look stupid,” he said. “Like Cody, for example. He was pretty much in my eyeline… but there was no other way for him to see what he needed to see to get on the conclusion map.”
The actor revealed the work he put in to making the scene believable, saying he purposely turned his head and shifted so his character wouldn’t see Cody. “I remember back when Maurice and I took our jobs very seriously,” he began, referring to Maurice Benard (Sonny). “If there was anything that wasn’t real, we weren’t doing it,” he admitted. “We probably would’ve fought that; seeing someone in our peripheral that’s supposed to be overhearing.”
