It’s been a long time since Jason has lived in his penthouse on General Hospital, most recently taking up occupancy above Bobbie’s. Now, his portrayer is reminiscing about the old set that felt like home.

An Old House

On the latest episode of Daily Drama, Bradford Anderson, who also recently revealed his thoughts on Spinelli the DJ, asked Steve Burton what it was like to be back in Jason’s old penthouse on the April 22, 2024 episode of GH. “It was weird walking back in there,” the actor admitted. “I spent, like, my life in there,” Burton said. “It was like going to an old house.”

Anderson commented on the penthouse being brighter and less beige nowadays, to which Burton said he’s not a fan, despite the set design being amazing. Burton went on to ask his co-host what the first thing he thinks of that’s different about the penthouse is, and Anderson immediately answered, “No pool table.”

JaSpin Throwbacks

The two co-stars, who have worked on GH together off and on since 2006, went on to reminisce about the set where their characters lived together for so long. “It reminds me of the scene when we did ‘Welcome Hoe,'” Burton said, referring to a 2010 scene when Spinelli welcomed Jason home to the penthouse with a ‘welcome home’ sign that accidentally lost the M in ‘home’ mid-scene. Despite the actors breaking for a moment, the show kept the scene in.

“So many memories in that place for me,” Burton continued. “You coming down the stairs,” he remembered and pretended to frantically run down stairs like Spinelli always did. Anderson recalled a moment recently when he walked up the penthouse stairs when the set wasn’t occupied to reminisce. “I went to the top of the stairs and just kind of sat there,” he admitted. “I remember being up there waiting to come in.”

They also realized there’s no longer a mirror on the wall in the entryway of the penthouse. “Remember when you saw the clown face?” Burton asked Anderson about the scene when Maxie (Kirsten Storms, who just celebrated a milestone birthday) painted Spinelli’s face like a clown to overcome his fear. “We all would do the precheck in that mirror,” Burton revealed.
