General Hospital’s Josh Swickard’s character Harrison Chase has endured a bumpy ride when it comes to romance. But in real life, it has been smooth sailing as the Swickard family just added a new addition. Back in October of 2022, Swickard and his wife, Lauren, shared they were expecting their second child with a #2under2 post on Instagram, and in December, they announced it was a boy at the official baby shower catered by SusieCakes Bakery with a cupcake gender reveal.

The beaming couple welcomed baby Arthur into the world on February 26, 2023. Swickard couldn’t be more proud. “WELCOME TO THE FAMILY ARTHUR!!!!” The proud papa gave a shout-out to his wife, “@laurenswickard brought this little guy into the world on February 26th (Lo I’m truly in awe of you). Thank you for all that you sacrificed to grow our family. Arthur buddy, you are so loved already!!! We pray for courage and strength over you, and that God will lead you all of your days!”
The soap world quickly sent out positive vibes to the happy family after they posted a new family portrait on Instagram. Marcus Coloma (ex-Nikolas, GH) sent out a quick note, “Congrats❤️❤️❤️” Other Port Charles residents chimed in as well. Kirsten Storms (Maxie, GH) sent out a “Congrats guys!!” and Finola Hughes joined in, “Congratulations to you all!! Beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
Many more sent the family a thumbs up as stars from other daytime dramas showed their excitement to the growing family. Eileen Davidson (Ashley, Y&R) cheered the new family addition, “Yay!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” and Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Deveraux, DAYS) is anxious to meet the little tyke. “Can’t wait to meet my new bud.”

The couple has been married since December 29, 2019, and gave birth to a daughter, Savannah Kaye, on April 21, 2021. On a couple of breaks from General Hospital, Josh Swickard starred together with Lauren in the 2020 film, Roped, and two Christmas movies that his multi-talented wife also wrote: A California Christmas, and A California Christmas: City Lights.
Savannah joined her parents and brand new baby brother, Arthur, for the photo announcing his arrival to the world.
