Maybe she’s a secret Jerome, planted by someone other than Ava and Julian–hence why they don’t recognize her. After all, the Jeromes have it out for Sonny for a myriad of reasons, so the idea is not that far-fetched.
Perhaps, Nelle is someone from Carly’s past. If we go with the kidney donor theory, she could be a daughter Carly gave up in the same way Bobbie gave up Carly. Sweet Caroline came to town looking to break up her birth mother’s marriage.
Nelle could be doing the same, but then, what about this letter from a father she hides in her purse? Could it be her adopted father–or a biological one and a man from Carly’s long-ago past?
