General Hospital (GH) fans aren’t the only ones missing the dearly departed Nathan West — and the man who played him, Ryan Paevey. So, this little surprise reunion is just what the doctor ordered.
What are the odds that both Paevey (ex-Nathan) and his former onscreen mother Kathleen Gati (Liesl) would be in Vancouver, Canada at the same time — in the same hotel! But that’s where they found each other and of course, according to Paevey, immediately had to head to the hotel bar to get dinner and catch up.
And being 2018, both had to mark the occasion with a snap on their Instagram. While his hashtags aren’t very informative as to what they are both doing in Canada right now, Gati’s shed a bit more light — and it’s a fabulous light.
The actress used Hallmark, which indicates that either one or both of them is in Vancouver, the Los Angeles of the North (where so much is being filmed for TV these days), to shoot a flick for Hallmark.
That channel seems to be a hot one for Paevey, having starred in Unleashing Mr. Darcy and Harvest Love (with Days of Our Lives star, Jen Lilley). A quick check of the IMDB shows that the actor is in pre-production for Marrying Mr. Darcy, so it seems Paevey is revisiting the title role once again.

The popular actor has sure kept busy since his GH character met his heroic end. He’s already shot an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and he’ll be appearing as Adlai Stevenson in the movie Bogie and Bacall, along with former Guiding Light star Doug Hutchison (ex-Sebastian), who will play Spencer Tracy.
As for Gati, she recently shot two projects, The Force and Men of Mercy. She was also added the cast of American Dream, with Nick Stahland and Michiel Huisman. It’s unclear if she’s in Vancouver for one of those projects or something new. Stay tuned to find out!
