There are few current daytime stars as beloved as General Hospital (GH) mainstay Kirsten Storms.
She began her soap career as Belle Black on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and then moved onto the role of PC’s Maxie, a part she’s played since 2005, with a few breaks along the way.
As of now, Storms is taking her second GH hiatus in under a year for undisclosed reasons. Last year, she left due to stress-induced skin problems, but was temporarily replaced with Molly Burnett.
This year, a newlywed Maxie is said to be out of town for work during Storms’ three-month break.

New husband Nathan (Ryan Paevey) is still around, but apparently he has very little to do except visit Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) as often as he can to figure out if Julian is alive or dead.
Nathan must be awfully lonely at the moment, which makes Naxie fans are awfully bored.
You also need Maxie’s brand of quirkiness to break up the sturm und drang of the other storylines. Lulu (Emme Rylan) also needs her bestie to keep her in check as her Charlotte obsession drives her off the rails.
Everyone Can Use A Break
A very small 3% of you love Maxie, but you’re okay with not seeing her for a while. Nathan and Maxie had their day in the sun this year with their wedding, and it’s time for other couples to move to the forefront.
Besides, at least you know there’s no marital strife just yet as you await Storms’ return.
