It’s all about parents and history for Sonny Corinthos now on General Hospital (GH) as the show brought back the character’s father, Mike, now played by Max Gail.
Mike and Sonny are bonding more than ever before due to the older man’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis as Sonny struggles to care for his father, who slips further away each day.
Actors Maurice Benard and Max Gail have become close during this emotional story and it has Benard thinking about his own parents. In fact, he shared a sweet snap of himself, his real-life dad, and his reel-life dad on Instagram the other day.
But, he knew mom had to get her accolades too (especially with Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, right?), so the next day Benard shared a picture of himself with his beautiful mom.
He then said they were wondering who would get more likes, which seemed like a contest to us.

Benard sure knows how to pay tribute to his on-screen and off-screen family while keeping it fun at the same time.
