General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) sat down with Soap Hub at the TV Critics winter press tour in Pasadena to give an update on the ongoing mystery involving her daughter Jocelyn’s organ donor.
She let us know that fans are going to have to wait a little longer to find out Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) secret and how it will impact Carly and everyone else in Port Charles. The Emmy-winner also talked about Sonny, her BFF Jason, and more!
There are tons of theories on who exactly Nelle is.
We haven’t even shot it yet.
Chloe Lanier is a great actress.
She’s awesome. She came in and played young Patricia and now she’s back as Nelle.
Jake being brought back to life kicked off this whole mystery; do you know what the secret is?
I know what it is. And it is awesome!
Any time a show draws on history, there’s a greater investment.
What’s Carly’s frame of mind these days?
She’s telling Jocelyn that she’s thinking of getting back together with Sonny.
Morgan’s death caused a break between Carly and Sonny (Maurice Benard), but their connection is so strong. How would you describe who Sonny is to Carly? Best friend?
He’s not a friend. Jason’s the friend. Sonny’s like her soulmate, especially now. The two of them right now are so tight, so connected, so need each other, and so depend on each other.
They understand what they have been through in their lives together and understand where they stand today. They still have some of their patterns that they rely on, but way less and [they are] more honest with how they use them.
It’s taken a long time for them to get to where they are. There are no rules. No one can tell anyone how to mourn a kid. She lashed out and was angry and hurt. At one point, everyone thought he was to blame [for what happened to Morgan].
Carly doesn’t always know how to deal with her emotions, which makes her fun and entertaining. But I like the moments where it does get a bit ugly. That’s the reality of human nature.
