General Hospital star Kelly Monaco didn’t just win the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing With the Stars during the show’s first season. She also formed a deep friendship with professional dancer, Cheryl Burke. So much so, that Burke made a special request of her.

Burke asked Monaco to attend her wedding shower! The dancing pro is set to marry actor Matthew Lawrence, whom she also met on the DWTS set back when his brother, Joey Lawrence (Blossom, Melissa & Joey), was a contestant on the show.
In a highly romantic gesture, he proposed to her back on May 3 last year, Burke’s 34th birthday, last year.

Monaco shared a picture of herself at the shower on Instagram and revealed an interesting activity that the women had fun with.
“Honored to have been a part of @cherylburke ‘s wedding shower. Making toilet paper dresses had me laughing so hard it hurt. Thank you @leahremini for being such a great host.”
Sounds like it was one heck of a party! Remini, who hosted the party and will be serving as maid of honor, also has a Dancing connection. She competed for the treasured trophy during Season 17.
