Port Charles citizens, beware! An evil baddie from the show’s past is making her way back to the General Hospital story canvas!
According to TV Insider, Jessica Tuck is reprising her role as Cassandra Pierce (is that a villainess name or what?) There’s no word yet on exactly how long she’ll be sticking around, but her first new air date is Thursday, August 1.
Tuck last appeared on the show in August 2018 as she was being driven away by a man who was wearing a Cassadine ring! Could it be an alive Nikolas or some other Cassadine relative behind Cassandra’s absence?
And might a kinder, gentler Cassandra be in attendance? “Perhaps, we’ll get a tiny peek at some other parts of her character?” the actress offered. “I’m not hinting at anything. I’m just throwing it out there. Who knows?”
Tuck says that the Cassandra we’ve seen so far is definitely deserving a place among other infamous GH baddies! “[Cassandra] didn’t have many redeeming qualities,” she says, “but there’s something sort of fun about that, too, playing someone who’s really, really despicable. Having been a vampire on True Blood, ruthlessness is in my wheelhouse.”
A GH return reunites Tuck with executive producer Frank Valentini, who helmed One Life To Live when Tuck returned for a final appearance on the beloved series in early 2012 as the late, loved Megan.
“Frank has been a great friend since day one of One Life and we’re in contact,” says Tuck, adding she returned for several appearances over the years because “[s]oaps were where I began my career. It was such a great group of people. They were like family to me, truly.
“It was such a privilege to go back. Also, the fans are incredibly supportive.” General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
