Maxie made it clear she’s willing to do just about anything to keep her growing family safe when she asked Mac to help her and Nathan leave town and essentially vanish to throw Faison off their trail on General Hospital (GH).
But, what if Nathan decides to take it one step further and make Faison believe he’s dead? That would be a perfect way to go into hiding, but leave Maxie home in Port Charles. She can play the grieving wife while waiting to give birth to her “late” husband’s child–and Nathan can be somewhere…out there.
Sure, Maxie and Nathan just got it together after Maxie was out in Seattle for months at a time last year while Kirsten Storms took some time off. Who says it’s not Nathan’s turn to get the heck out of Port Charles for a while–in a way that looks to be permanent?
Of course, this can go another way and Maxie can then leave town to say she is emotionally recovering from her husband’s death and go where Faison can never find her and his grandchild.
However, we think Maxie’s going to stick around because Nelle might need a spare pregnant woman for our other baby switch theory. Imagine Maxie’s hell if she doesn’t have her husband AND she then doesn’t have her baby.
Being a cop, it won’t be hard for Nathan to fake things. Even if his alleged death has nothing to do with Faison, it’s not unbelievable that a cop can be killed in the line of duty for any case.
Would best friend Dante know the truth? Would Obrecht know her son is not really gone? There are so many possibilities with this juicy story that almost anything can happen.
We thought it was boring and typical making Faison the father Nathan’s been searching for, but it could offer more story than we ever imagined.
