Something unexpected happened on General Hospital (GH) yesterday and now it’s all social media fans can talk about. It’s also something that sparked some talk among Soap Hub staff because it seemed to have come out of left field–and we love it.
Alexis and Finn had scenes together yesterday and they were actually great. We loved their banter, their natural ease with one another, and their candor as they spoke of their lives, their loves, and all the stress it causes.
For Finn, he turned to opioids after he didn’t need them anymore just to stay alive. Alexis’s pain made her turn to alcohol, so as Finn said, their addictions are just a symptom of deeper problems within their lives.
But, here’s the thing–Finn just started a real romance with Anna only to have it end as abruptly as their fake romance, and Alexis freely admitted that she is still madly in love with Julian, although he can also be considered an addiction she just can’t quit.
So, seeing a little chem test between Nancy Lee Grahn and Michael Easton was not exactly what we were looking for or anticipating.
Of course, the soap chose the same episode to chem test Tamara Braun and William deVry as Kim and Julian, so it’s clear some lonely souls may turn to interesting people for comfort and companionship.

But, what about Anna who spent her day confessing to Felicia how she feels about Finn, but also how she needs to protect him from Faison?
Fans had been falling in love with an Anna and Finn pairing, but can just as easily go for an Alexis and Finn pairing, which is just a testament to some veteran actors having chemistry with a chalkboard–or ANYONE you put them in front of the camera with.
And then there’s that little case of pregnant Hayden, who’s still out there somewhere either about to give birth or with a baby in her arms–Finn’s baby. Oh, what a tangled web we weave, GH…
