General Hospital Wild Speulation: Nelle Dies… And So Does Brad And Lucas’ Baby!

There is no way this three-baby story on General Hospital (GH) could happen without some sort of baby switch. Maxie’s baby was thankfully left out of this, so this leaves Nelle’s baby and the little one that Brad and Lucas plan to adopt.

It can’t be a coincidence that Nelle makes one true friend in town and that friend is Brad. Their friendship has seemed weird from the start and has clearly been a plot device and we think we know what that plot device is.

Chloe Lanier is leaving the soap and reportedly already taped her last scenes, so she has to be written out somehow and anything is more dramatic than the way the show wrote off Dante.

At nine months pregnant, Nelle is the center of a major story as Michael (Chad Duell) and company work to bring this young sociopath down. But maybe, in the end, it’s her pregnancy that does it.

What if Nelle dies in childbirth? Either due to some sort of accident or just a freak health issue Dr. Kim (Tamara Braun) never picked up on during all of Nelle’s pregnancy problems (like that tumble down the stairs that surprisingly didn’t cause a placental abruption).

However, Nelle’s baby lives and thrives, but just as Nelle gives birth, Brad (Parry Shen) learns that the baby he and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) had been waiting for was stillborn right at GH.

Remember, Brad is a reformed conniver, which is maybe why he seemed to understand Nelle. Reformed connivers can always relapse. He’s been known to switch lab results, so maybe he is just moving on to switching babies.

Michael would end up mourning his child, not knowing his uncle is raising the baby he wanted so much. This story can go on for months until one day a soap cliché happens. The baby gets sick, and we finally learn who the child really belongs to.

While this is all speculation, it could very well happen.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
