Details about the special tribute episode to the late John Reilly, who played Sean Donely on General Hospital, are starting to emerge. While there’s no airdate for the show honoring the late Port Charles mainstay, the episode will feature a very special guest star.

Caitlin Reilly To Help Honor Her Dad

Variety reports that actress Caitlin Reilly, the real-life daughter of John Reilly, will appear as Sean and Tiffany’s (Sharon Wyatt) daughter Annie (formerly known as “Anna,” named after Finola Hughes’ character).

“Words can’t describe how honored I am to be playing my dad’s daughter on the show,” Caitlin says. “I grew up on the set of General Hospital, watching him work for years, so it’s exciting to dive into a new character in honor of him. He’ll absolutely be by my side in spirit on set rooting me on. It fills my heart with gratitude to be a part of this tribute to him, and to feel so close to him working on a show he loved so much doing.”

The character of Anna/Annie appeared on the show back in 2013 and was played by Courtney Halverson. John Reilly appeared at this time, too, as Sean having been poisoned by polonium.

Caitlin Reilly’s credits include the shorts Let’s Unpack That and Jared and Ivanka: Making America Great Again as well as a role in the digital series Meredith and Laura Have a Web Series. She’s also known for her TikTok videos in which she portrays various characters. Caitlin Reilly is a member of the Groundlings and a graduate of the American Academy of the Dramatic Arts.

GH announced plans for a tribute episode shortly after Reilly’s passing in January of this year. In the past, the show has done other tribute programs to late, great GH stars including Peter Hansen (ex-Lee), Susan Brown (ex-Gail), and Norma Donaldson (ex-Ruby). General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
