Thanksgiving is on the minds of Americans, and some of your favorite General Hospital actors are dealing with this unconventional holiday just like the rest of us. They shared their plans exclusively with Soap Hub.
General Hospital Stars Are Grateful
Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie)
“Our family will be celebrating all together this year in San Francisco. Now that my daughters Cassidy and Lacey Rose are grown and have families of their own, we take turns hosting the holidays. Thanksgiving this year will be at Cassidy and Cutter’s house. We will all get tested before and then pitch in to do the cooking together. We love to eat! So there will be lots of love and yummy food and fun. I am grateful for these blessings.”
Dominic Zamprogna (Dante)
“This Thanksgiving I’m hanging at home with the family – the girls and me. We’ve been really cautious – seems like we all still need to be. So we’ll be eating a huge bird and then sleeping for a couple days. I’m just thankful for our health and hoping everyone respects what’s needed to do this year so we can all get together next year.”
Sonya Eddy (Epiphany)
“Since COVID is messing with all of us, I’ve made the rough decision to spend this Thanksgiving with just me and my hounds! I’m hoping that things are a little different for Christmas. And I’m not cooking anything. I’m going to employ one of my lesser-known skills – the warm-up – for dinner. After doing a short Zoom Thanksgiving toast with some friends and family, I’ll spend the rest of the day in my warmest onesie, having built a great nest on my sofa in front of the TV. I’ll watch Jingle Jangle on Netflix and have a few shots of Fireball! The pups will be curled up around me with doggie smiles on their faces. I’m going to miss my aunt’s triple-layered yellow cake with handmade chocolate icing. I’ll miss my mom’s secret ingredient stuffing, my uncle’s fried turkey, and my cousin’s fizzy lemonade drink – which I still don’t know how to make. Then, I look forward to the inevitable dozing off and waking up for a second round of stuffing and gravy and the next movie!”

“It’s going to be a smaller gathering than usual, of course, but still a great day – it’s going to be my first Thanksgiving as a grandfather!”
Lisa LoCicero (Olivia)
“We are going to enjoy a quiet dinner with just the four of us – a roast duck and vegetable gratin. And some nice champagne. I’m sad to miss extended family this year, but it’s the most loving choice right now.”
Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke)
“This Thanksgiving will be very different for me. I’m usually around a multi-generational group made up of close friends and their families. We will be reduced to four this year. A turkey breast in a bubble, mostly outdoors. It’s still a great deal to be thankful for.”
Sydney Mikayla (Trina)
“We’ll be celebrating a quiet Thanksgiving here at home in L.A. We usually put up the tree right after Thanksgiving so that will be nice. I’ll just have to look forward to going back to Alabama next year. But for this year, I’ll be baking a lemon cake, and will enjoy my mom’s mac ‘n’ cheese – and sneaking green beans under the table to my dog, Champ.”

“It’ll be a small, COVID-free, family shindig. We’ve all got to do our part, so we can get together another time. I will miss the usual large gathering, watching sports on TV with loved ones, and taking trips to where more of my family is.”

“I’m spending Thanksgiving in Mexico City this year, which is a first for me. It’s special because I’m spending it with my girlfriend and new friends this year. We are planning to celebrate on a rooftop terrace and I’m sure the food will be quite different from my previous Thanksgivings in the States and I’m looking forward to that. I know it’s a tough year, but I hope everyone finds a way to have plenty of food and be around loved ones, we all need that right now.”

“At this point, we still have no idea what we are doing this year. We canceled a trip to Lake Tahoe so now we’re playing everything by ear. If it snows in our local mountains here, we will go sledding! Otherwise, we will be beaching it; me and my son Jack will go surfing. Sheree and our daughter Makena will cook Thanksgiving dinner this year! But, a must is cranberry sauce – from the can! And we’ll have pumpkin pie, and all the rest is gravy!”

“This will be an awesome Thanksgiving for me because I will be with my daughter and grandkids. I’ll be on my daughter Schyler’s acorn squash soup detail this year and my nephew will be making his first Turkey this year! So for me, it should be a modestly low key day!”

“I usually travel to see family but this year I’m staying in L.A. to avoid traveling. Thankfully my sister lives here too so we’ll be celebrating together. I look forward to some relaxing cozy time, watching movies, playing games, and eating a lot of delicious food. And the desserts! I’m planning on making at least three sorts of pie. Pumpkin pie and apple pie is a must!”

“Honestly, this is a tough Thanksgiving for me. We always have family here. My mom, brother, and sister-in-law live right down the street, but they can’t be here – and our daughters can’t fly in. But we’ll carry on the tradition of watching ‘Polar Express’ on Thanksgiving evening.”
Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr)
“It’s going to be just our immediate family this year. I’m going to miss going over to my Aunt Lynn and Uncle Jack’s house like we do every Thanksgiving, but we want to keep everyone as safe as possible. My mom is still making the same big dinner we always have – I’m most looking forward to her green bean casserole! I eat it for days and days after Thanksgiving, it’s so delicious! I think we’re going to surprise Robin Strasser the morning of Thanksgiving and drop off some of my cinnamon biscuits that I make – and leave them on her porch. Don’t tell her!”
Eden McCoy (Josslyn)
“For Thanksgiving, I’m looking forward to getting out of L.A. and into the fresh air and snow in Big Bear. Skiing opens that week and I plan on trying snowboarding for the first time – wish me luck!”
