The year 2019 has turned out to be quite a time for Rebecca Budig, who will soon delight her legion of fans by returning to her role of Hayden Barnes on General Hospital. But the powerhouse actress has another fabulous reason to celebrate.
That’s because she was born on June 26, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, which means she’s turning 46 years old today! After majoring in zoology at Miami University Budig migrated to Los Angles California and landed her first acting job when she starred in an Aerosmith music video.
Small parts in movies, both feature, and television followed and Budig even found herself playing a damsel in distress who had to be saved by Robin the Boy Wonder in the film Batman Forever. But, it is almost certainly her work in soap opera that has endured Budig to millions of fans.
She began her suds career by playing wholesome-as-apple-pie Michelle Bauer on the Guiding Light before doing a complete 180 with her most well-known character, bad girl Greenlee Smythe on All My Children. Budig stayed in the role from 1999 to 2005 and again from 2009-2011.
Budig joined the cast of General Hospital in 2015 in the role of Hayden Barnes and stayed until 2017. However, later this summer Budig will be returning to PC, a prospect that no doubt has her many fans clamoring for more if she doesn’t stay around more.
