Sonny (Maurice Benard) knows that the end is near for his father, so like everyone else in the family before him, he reminisces about what might have been. Get a tissue ready because these scenes are likely to get the tears flowing.
A sympathetic Stella (Vernee Watson) is by Sonny’s side and lets him know that she thinks Mike (Max Gail) is waiting for permission to go, even though Sonny gave it yesterday. And the day before. And possibly the day before that. But Sonny needs to be really clear this time that it’s okay for his father to let go of his earthly frame.

The Wisdom of Jason
Carly (Laura Wright) gives Jason (Steve Burton) an update on the situation with her husband and his father. He lets her know that Sonny will do the right thing because he always does, except for that time he stole A.J.’s son away from him, or the time he killed A.J., cheated on Carly, shot his son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) in the chest… you get the idea.
Even the new-to-the-scene relatives are stopping by. Brando (Johnny Wactor) comes by to pay his respects to Mike and hopes that they will give him that chance. He also has a moment with Josslyn (Eden McCoy), who spoilers reveal will tell Carly that she believes Grandpa knows more than they realize. Maybe he will understand what his son says and let go.
Love Blooming?
Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) grow closer. He has something shocking to tell her and fears her reaction but being the mountain of sweetness that she is, she tells him there’s nothing that he could say that would ever make her think less of him.
