GH Weekly Recap

We saw number of thrilling highs and heartbreaking lows on General Hospital this week, and the one ahead promises some curves of its own! The custody hearing began with Nelle announcing that she had married Julian, then painting herself as a sympathetic figure.

While Carly was struggling there, Sonny was coming to terms with Mike’s deterioration… and a talk with Jason brought some difficult feelings to the surface.

Throughout it all, Ava and Nikolas kept playing Liz and Franco against each other, although Laura convinced the Cassadine to give Spencer an answer to his ultimatum. We’ve already had an emotional ride, and it’s only just beginning! Here are the spoilers!

GH Weekly Teasers

The 2014 Nurses’ Ball kicks off with an unexpected interruption during the opening number, which starts a trend for some equally surprising developments.

General Hospital’s History

GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running sudser is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running daytime drama, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.

The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) gripping romance and wedding, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH knows how to please their viewers.

Bringing the Drama

More then five decades of gripping drama has kept the daytime drama on the air as other soap operas were axed. GH is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air, with the other three being Days of our Lives (DAYS), The Young and the Restless (Y&R), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
