The General Hospital recap for Thursday, May 30 features Port Charles residents uniting against two despised villains and corporate raider Jasper Jax’s staking claim on a new company.
As Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) awoke cuffed to his hospital bed Lulu (Emme Rylan) narrated her next journalistic endeavor — the coverage of Franco (Roger Howarth) being recognized by the Port Charles police department for his efforts in helping capture Ryan and bring him to justice.
Franco later slipped into Ryan’s room and taunted the killer for being so predictable as to fall for Ava’s charade with Kevin. Ryan countered that Franco enjoyed taking the blame for his murder spree as being feared by the populace made him feel alive.
Simply handing Franco the award and making a small speech had totally wiped out Jordan’s (Briana Nicole Henry) strength, but she insisted to Curtis (Donnell L. Turner) that she continue to work from her bed.
Finn (Michael Easton) arrived with the news that Ryan was awake and was in fact a viable kidney donor; however, he cautioned the pair that Ryan would have to consent to the surgery.
Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Julian (William DeVry) each sought outside help to ensure that Wiley stays with his adopted family. Lucas called Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian went to Sam (Kelly Monaco) to ask for her help in destroying the adoption paper trail. Sam and Alexis were both aghast to learn that Shiloh is the baby’s biological father. (Of course, he is not, but maybe we’ll get there one day.)
Nina (Michelle Stafford) questioned why international financier Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) was calling himself her new boss. He explained that he bought 50% of Aurora Media from Drew that includes the entire print division of which Crimson is apart.
He informed her that he intends to make the already financially sound Crimson even more so by cutting production costs per issue by a third and reinvesting the capital in promotion.
After a flirty moment spent over spreadsheets, Jax left Nina with the newly arrived Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and met up with Alexis at the Metro Court.
She warned him to steer clear of Valentin — he is a Cassadine who murdered his own nephew after all — but Jax assured Alexis that he has done his homework and that he knows what he is doing.
Elizabeth and Lulu presented Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) with a petition signed by almost every parent who has a child in her class to help her get her job back in the Fall.
