The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, January 29, 2020, features Nelle ruffling feathers, Valentin causing trouble, Jax going for broke, and two violent calculated attacks on Sonny and his family.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
It was a violent start to the day as gunmen opened fire in a Brooklyn diner and on the Port Charles docks. The attacks were terrifying, coordinated, and possibly deadly. Sonny (Maurice Benard), Jason (Steve Burton), and Mike (Max Gail) were caught up in the gunfire in the cafe and their friends and family ducked for cover on the docks.
Hours Earlier…
Michael (Chad Duell) had Joss (Eden McCoy) meet him at the docs to warn her Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was moving into Quartermaine mansion. Joss flipped out but Michael had to do it to keep Nelle away from Wiley. Joss suggested they also try to keep the baby away from Brad, too.
They weren’t the only ones thinking that way. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was panicked about Brad’s bad choices too. She told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) she picked the couple for Lucas and no longer trusts Brad. She wondered if there was something she could do.
Meanwhile, Nelle and Carly (Laura Wright) went at each other about Michael, Nelle’s new living situation, and even about Jonah. Carly warned Nelle her day was coming and she’d be going down. Once Carly walked away, Willow also had her say. Losing Jonah was sad but Willow was glad Nelle wasn’t a mother.
Custody Conflict
Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) asked Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) about the cut-up cover but the kiddo denied doing anything. Lulu decided it was best to take control of her child, which meant getting rid of Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). She headed to the courthouse.

Laura (Genie Francis) was also there. The women were furious when Valentin made bail and the judge dropped many charges. Lulu threatened to get a restraining order for her and Charlotte.
In a twist, it was revealed Valentin and Nelle had the same lawyer for a reason. Martin was working with Valentin to take down Nelle.
Crimson Kisses
Back at Crimson, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) made a play for Nina (Cynthia Watros). Champaign, cheese, and some lovely compliments were all it took. He went in for a kiss and she smooched him right back.
A Strange Deal
Nik (Marcus Coloma) and Ava (Maura West) talked about Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) and their marriage. They made a bombshell deal to make their marriage look legit. They would sleep in separate beds but not with anyone else. This would be a sexless, faithful marriage forever.
The Violence Began
Back on the docks, several people appeared. Michael, Joss, Laura, and even Carly and Gladys came under attack as the gunmen fired off round after round. Everyone dove for safely but Laura didn’t make it in time. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
