The General Hospital recap for Monday, May 18, 2020, features a “surprise” marriage, a whole lot of threats, one apology, and yet another meeting between Brando and a member of the Davis family.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was chomping at the bit to introduce her latest husband to the judge presiding over Wiley’s custody hearing. And to the surprise of everyone in the gallery (though probably not to any of the viewers at home), Julian Jerome (William deVry) turned out to be the man in question.
But the wedding was far from a love match. In fact, Julian had agreed to the preposterous notion because of good old-fashioned blackmail. It really wouldn’t be good for his health if Sonny (Maurice Benard) found out he was responsible for that car accident that nearly killed his brothers-in-law.
Carly (Laura Wright) and Michael (Chad Duell) were ecstatic over the turn of events. Surely Nelle’s stunt would backfire in her face. Luckily, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) was there to reel them in – and give one heck of an opening argument.
Say What You Mean, And Mean What You Say
Ava (Maura West) was delighted at the prospect of selling her penthouse…until she learned that the purchaser was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Sonny saw the two together, jumped to the wrong conclusion, and received quite the tongue lashing from Ava.

However, it was nothing compared to the stealth threat that Cyrus received when he dared to mention Avery’s name. Later, Cyrus cornered Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) and made some threats of his own. Wouldn’t it just be perfect to have both the police commissioner AND her private investigator husband at his beck and call?
Alexis and Brando Are Properly Introduced
Brando (Johnny Wactor) made the acquaintance of yet another Davis gal – and luckily Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was far nicer to him than either Sam (Kelly Monaco) or Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth).
After Alexis complimented her youngest daughter’s taste in one-night stand and took off for the sauna, Sam took it upon herself to apologize to Brando. She was sorry for the way she has been treating him…but she still doesn’t want to be friends.
Teen Scene
Meanwhile, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) got jealous when it seemed that Cameron (William Lipton) and Trina (Sydney Mikayla) didn’t want to play Ultimate Frisbee with her. Then Dev (Ashton Arbab) revealed that Cameron really liked her.
Josslyn was shocked. A boy, who wasn’t Oscar, actually LIKED her? And she learned this just as Cam and Trina were alone in another area of the park growing closer. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
