The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, July 28, 2020 features a flashback to May of this year. In that episode, Nelle debuted her new husband, Brando met yet another Davis woman, Cyrus got short shrift from Ava, and there was some drama amongst the teen set.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
The courtroom was aghast at Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) sudden appearance and her declaration that she had just gotten married. The judge admonished Nelle for her tardiness and the assemblage wondered who in the whole world Nelle had suckered into marriage.
When Julian (William deVry) sauntered into the gallery, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) was certain that Nelle’s goose was cooked; Michael (Chad Duell) concluded that his ex overplayed her hand. And Carly (Laura Wright) was momentarily speechless.
Everyone silently prayed that Nelle had torpedoed her case, how on earth did she think marrying a (supposedly-reformed) mobster would make look a better parental prospect? Even the judge had to issue a recess in order to investigate the voracity of Nelle’s claim.
Once that was done, the custody hearing resumed, and the opposing counselors made their opening statements. Once both had concluded, the judge called for a one-hour lunch. Julian hoped to exit the courtroom and never return but Martin (Michael E. Knight) insisted that he would testify and before he could make a move, he was confronted by an irate Sonny (Maurice Benard).
Brando Makes A New Friend
Brando (Johnny Wactor) made Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) acquaintance and she complimented Molly’s (Haley Pullos) choice in a one-night stand. Later, Sam (Kelly Monaco) apologized to Brando for her earlier treatment of him, but she also made it perfectly clear that she doesn’t want to be friends.
Ava (Maura West) delighted in the news that Lucy (Lynn Herring) had found a buyer for her penthouse but her bubble was quickly burst when she discovered that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was the prospective purchaser.
She refused to hand the keys over to the man who robbed Trina (Sydney Mikayla) of a father, and she let him know (in no uncertain terms) that he had better NEVER put her daughter’s name in his mouth again.
The teens reunited for a day at Oscar’s Meadow and quickly adjusted to being back in each other’s orbit…though there was some awkwardness — especially when Josslyn (Eden McCoy) felt that she and Dev (Ashton Arbab) weren’t welcome to play Ultimate Frisbee.
Luckily Dev was there to let Joss know that Cameron (William Lipton) “likes, likes” her. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
