The General Hospital recap for Thursday, July 8, 2021, features a surprise team up, and Nikolas Cassadine making one last pitch to his beloved Ava Jerome.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Having fortified herself with a kiss from TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) set off to confront the dreaded Judge Carson. Their subsequent terse exchange was overheard by Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who admonished Molly for accusing his friend of racial bias.
Once Molly took her leave, Martin joined a clearly rattled Carson and got her to open up about her rulings. Afterward, Martin retired to Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford’s (Briana Nicole Henry) and revealed to her, Molly, and TJ that their plan worked perfectly!
GH Recap: It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has found himself in quite the bind. He’s really starting to fall (back) in love with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), but she’s intimated that someone in his camp has warned her away.

Curtis immediately assumed that it was Jordan – especially after he learned that she’s yet to sign their divorce papers. However, Jordan made it crystal clear that she’s been nothing but a good friend to Portia – and she’d never interfere in Curtis’s personal life.
Off that chastisement, Curtis headed over to Charlie’s where he ran into Aunt Stella (Vernee Watson), fresh off a lunch date with TJ – or, more precisely, a fishing expedition to find out if there was any talk of Jordan and Curtis reuniting. Curtis quickly put two and two together, and came up with Aunt Stella is meddling!
GH Recap: A Failure To Cooperate
Having learned that the PCPD obtained a valuable clue at the gallery, Nikolas tried to convince Ava (Maura West) that their problems would soon be behind them. When that failed, he attempted to convince her to flee the country with him. When that too failed, Nikolas, threatened to protract the divorce. At Ava’s urging, he eventually relented.
