The General Hospital recap for Friday, June 26, 2020, features the final of a five-day, five-episode marathon of all things Jason and Sam. On today’s show, the couple became husband and wife thanks to the proprietors of the Noodle Buddha restaurant.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) just weren’t feeling the extravagant wedding that Maxie (Kirsten Storms) was breaking her back to deliver. In fact, they were so put off by all the planning and draconian rules that they hoped on Jason’s motorcycle – the night before their ceremony – and took off for parts unknown.

They chanced upon a Chinese restaurant that just so happened to be owned by a couple who had been married for over 50 years and whose son was an ordained minister! Deciding that they were fated to end up in that exact spot, the couple took the man up on his offer to marry them.

The entourage retired to the eatery’s patio where Sam and Jason exchanged rings – which had belonged to Alan and Lila – and vows. Afterward, they worried about how they would break the news about their elopement but Jason insisted they would cross that bridge the following day.

Love, It’s Complicated

Back in Port Charles, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) proposed to Lulu (Julie Marie Berman). And the young woman was so taken aback that she couldn’t give him an answer. Instead, she asked for time…then made a beeline for Maxie.

The girlfriends discussed the situation and Maxie insisted that her pal knew in heart that she wanted to say yes. But, before she could do so, Lulu insisted that it was her turn to make a big gesture. And she needed Maxie’s help.

Villains Everywhere

While the still crazed Franco (James Franco) busied himself by setting up spy cameras at Jason and Sam’s wedding venue – remember this is pre-brain tumor removal – Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash) made plans to cripple Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) criminal empire.

Elsewhere, a shadowy figure descended upon Wyndemere and took great interest in a long-ago commissioned portrait of Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
